MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has outlined rules for placing National Day stickers on vehicles, allowing decorations from November 1 to 30, 2026.
According to the Directorate General of Traffic, stickers must feature images and phrases related to the occasion and must be securely attached.
Stickers are prohibited on the windscreen and side windows. Only images may be placed on the rear window, provided they do not obstruct visibility.
Motorists must not place fabric decorations on vehicles, including the bonnet. Stickers depicting the crown and khanjar are also prohibited.
Decorations must not change the vehicle’s colour or shape, or compromise road safety.
An accompanying illustration for four-wheel-drive vehicles identifies the body, rear window and fixed rear side glass as locations for decorations, subject to the stated restrictions.
